Dog Training

If you are having trouble training your dog maybe a new approach will help.  The dog whisperer and his dog training can work wonders for your dog and family.  It is a more about dog psychology than discipline and it is more about the process of training when you become the pack leader.  The message is exercise, discipline and then affection.  You have to be aware of the type of you dog you have and their natural instincts and the natural need for exercise and structure within the pack.  You have to learn to be the back leader first by being calm and assertive with your dog while you "speak in the dogs language." 

You will be amazed at how quickly your dogs behavior will change once your behavior changes.  Dog training is really about training ourselves first so we can connect and bond with our pets as the pack leader.  If we are frantic and stressed and living out that lifestyle we are going to have a difficult time raising a calm, well adjusted dog or dogs. 

The first step toward becoming a good pack leader is to buy into the system Cesar Millan teaches.  I don't mean you have to buy anything but you have buy in mentally and make the commitment to do what is best for your pack and your family.  If you don't believe your level of stress and tension has an effect on your dog or that your emotions have no effect on your dogs behavior then this is not the dog training program for you.  However, I think you can see the value in Cesar's Way just be watching a few episodes of his television show on TV or watching them on YouTube.  He has a very special way with animals and he handles all shapes and sizes of dogs with the amazing ability to stay calm, assertive and focused.  You can see his energy is always balanced and they dogs pick up on it usually within a few minutes.  It is something to see if you have not seen it already.

The Dog whisperer way of dog training is really far less about discipline and more about structure, boundaries and energy.  The energy of the pack leader is the key to the behavior of the entire pack and you as the human are now the knew pack leader for your dog or puppy.  So you are in for some excellent dog training and some excellent people training and learning.  Your dog is a wonderful mirror for our feelings and it often is seen in their behavior whether it is good or bad.

I think you will like this method of dog training if you give it a shot.  It really allows your to bond with your dog and get in tune with each other.  You are not out to dominate your dog as pack leader but dogs naturally respond to whoever takes the leadership role and it has to be you.  If you already have a dog you have no choice but to become the pack leader.  If you think it will be too difficult for you and you don't have a dog you might want to take some time and watch more of the Dog Whisperer episodes before you go ahead and bring a dog home.

All of this being said, having a dog is pure joy and bonding with your dog is great for both you and the dog and they will enrich your life in so many ways.  If you are having trouble training your dog please take a few minutes to look at the Cesar Way before you give up hope.  You may find that it is the perfect thing for both of you.
